Aniline leather is the most expensive type of leather. It is dyed in a drum, allowing the dye to go through the fabric's pores in order to get deep and rich color. Because it doesn't have a protective layer, this is the softest leather found in the market. Semi-aniline leather is processed the same way as aniline leather. The only difference is that it has a thing layer of protective coating applied on it, making it easier to clean and less prone to fading. Pigmented leather, on the other hand, is only colored on the surface. Although the color of pigmented leather is not as rich, it has a finishing that protects it from scratches and stains. Unfortunately, because of the layer of finishing, it is not as soft as aniline leather and semi-aniline layer. It is, however, cheaper than both.
